Human Resources Assistant- Contract position (Great Eastern Takaful Berhad)
Key responsibilities:
People Services

  • Maintain accurate Human Capital records in Oracle IHR.
  • Maintains good relationships between employer and employees by providing support in all staff welfare and human resource services which includes on staff confirmation, answering all employment related enquiries
  • Administer confirmation processes, ID issuance, data entry, leave reports, and attendance tracking.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee queries related to People Services.
  • Prepare employment-related letters, including promotions, transfers, and other staff movements.
  • Handles the PIP (Performance Improvement Plan) administration
  • Maintains employee files and records in electronic form
  • Handles accounts receivables and ensure invoices are paid on time
Talent Acquisition Support
  • Support sourcing, screening, and onboarding of indirect contract resources.
  • Ensure accurate new hire entries in Oracle iHR and WIP tracking report.
  • Support HCBP working with business units on hiring plans, sourcing and project.
  • Assist with interviews for junior roles.
  • Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
  • Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
  • Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
We are looking for people who
  • Degree in Accounting, Business, Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field from a recognised university.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in Human Resource field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) to interact with employees at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset, with a strong sense of accountability.
  • High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
  • Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
