An

HVAC Project Engineer

is a professional who plans, designs, coordinates, and oversees heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in building projects. They bridge the gap between engineering design and on-site execution, ensuring HVAC systems are efficient, safe, and meet project specifications.

Main Responsibilities

:

Senior Operation Handler - HVAC & Maintenance Projects

Lead HVAC and Maintenance Projects in Penang based Clients, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery. Collaborate closely with Drafters and the Senior Operation Manager to plan, review, and improve project designs. Provide technical advice and clear explanations on HVAC and Maintenance work requirements, ensuring accurate and competitive project quotations. Act as a valuable adviser for both internal teams and branches, offering solutions to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Support other branches as a Project Engineer when required and be available for assignments at any branch. Maintain project documentation, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with company standards and client expectations. Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients to resolve technical and operational issues. Monitor project progress, manage resources, and ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.

1. Project Planning & Coordination

Review project specifications, drawings, and requirements. Plan project timelines, milestones, and budgets. Coordinate with architects, M&E engineers, contractors, and clients.

2. Design & Technical Work

Select appropriate HVAC equipment and materials. Perform heat load calculations and duct sizing. Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and energy efficiency guidelines.

3. Installation & Supervision

Oversee HVAC system installation on site. Ensure proper alignment between design and actual construction. Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical issues.

5. Leader for operation teams

Lead, motivate, and guide operation teams to deliver high-quality HVAC and maintenance projects on time and within budget. Set clear performance expectations and monitor team progress to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with company standards. Foster a collaborative work culture by encouraging open communication and problem-solving among team members. Make informed, timely decisions to resolve project challenges and keep operations running smoothly.

4. Testing & Commissioning

Check system performance and efficiency. Troubleshoot and rectify issues before handover. Prepare operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain project records, test reports, and compliance documents. Prepare project progress reports for management or clients.
Key Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification. Certificates in Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration, Certified HVAC Technician HVAC Design Software Training Minimum 5-7 years of relevant industry experience. Prior experience in an M&E consulting firm will be an added advantage. Strong knowledge of design and building projects, including relevant codes of practice. Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or BIM software will be an advantage. Team player with a proactive, assertive, and independent work attitude.

Pay: Up to RM4,000.00 per month
