About the role

The role of the IETS Technician is pivotal in ensuring the operational efficiency, safety, and compliance of the water treatment plant. This position involves adherence to company policies, effective communication with production executives and supervisors, and the implementation of best practices in environmental care and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for adhering to and meeting the company\'s policies and requirements.
• Report to the Production Executive during a shift.
• Report to the Production Supervisor in the absence of the duty Production Executive.
• Ensure efficient and safe operation of the water treatment plant.
• Update operating records of the water treatment plant and enhance operating parameters.
• Assist the Executive in matters related to safety in the water treatment plant.
• Efficiently record the issue on chemical received/used.
• Practice 5s work culture in the work area.
• Ensure compliance with environmental care activities through the ISO 14001 system.
• Member of the fire extinguishing team during the shift.
• Engage in maintenance work of the first stage.
• Issue work order instructions for repair and assist in repair work when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness in the working area and assist in repair work when necessary.
• Implement and comply with ISO 9001 work procedures in the work area.
• Comply with and implement good manufacturing practices (GMP) in line with the status as a food-producing plant.
• Learn and improve knowledge in all aspects related to the operation of water treatment plants.
• Assist the company in regulating the safety of the factory environment, cleanliness, operating conditions, equipment safety, etc.
• Ensure that treated water always complies with the regulations set by the Department of Environment and other government bodies.

Qualifications and skills

• Mechanical Certificate from Training Centre or Diploma in Technical/Engineering with 2 years of experience in operating Vegetable Oil Distillation Plant.
• Minimum one year of experience working in a Water Treatment Plant.
• Highly desirable: Experience in the distillation sector of vegetable oil/oleochemical in a shift atmosphere.
• Familiarity with GMP and HACCP practices.
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Skilled in communicating through written work reports.
