About the role

The Import Analyst is accountable for the entire customs process related to Importing goods requiring import clearance, including the check of supplier documentation, the completion of SAP GTS and SAP ECC formalities, dealing with and supporting the local custom broker, carriers / haulers and the local Material Call Off function.

Key responsibilities

  • Day to day you will action requests received into a centrally managed shared inbox, you will review the request and generated SAP GTS Import Declaration Instruction Sheets. During the generation of this document, there may be a requirement to work with other Kerry functions to support in the generation of further documents such as Export Health Certificate for Products of Animal Origin, Composite Product Private Attestations and Phytosanitary Certificate request.
  • Management of external stakeholders and communication to them is key to ensure a seamless Import / Export operation, a high level of attention to detail is required within the role.
  • Upon the Kerry Broker completing the Import Clearance the Import / Export Analyst will complete a full review of the Import Declaration against our instructions and flag / request corrections to any errors or issues, completed declarations will be organised and filed according to local customs requirements.
  • The Import / Export Analyst is the first point of escalation for Kerry Sites, Kerry Transport Providers or Kerry Brokers in the operations and movement of goods where concerns are around Import / Export formalities.
  • There will also be a requirement to support the Export process as and when required in regard to identifying key pieces of information from time to time as and when the business requires.
Qualifications and skills
  • Europe working hours 2pm-11pm
  • High level of English language proficiency as this is Kerry\'s most widely spoken language.
  • Bachelor\'s degree level in an Engineering, Statistics, Supply Chain, Business / Commercial discipline would be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years\' experience in import / export. Must have a good working understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations
  • Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
  • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your applicable incident reporting system;
