About the job

The role is part of the Finance Operations & Transformation organization, a high performing team centered on Finance transformation with the objective to become a best-in-class Finance organization, by delivering efficient and lean processes, improved tools to support better decision making and strengthening on focus and expertise. This will enable Finance Business Partners to focus on finance performance and resource allocation supported by Global Centers of Excellence and Regional Finance Operations teams to deliver Opex activities.

The Country Cluster Transversal OPEX Controller will drive consistency and standardization for the Opex management (perso costs, projects costs) across the geography and functions in collaboration with other Controllers. This person will develop partnerships with the Finance Business Partners, other Controllers as well as with the Budget Owners to drive results and control forecasts and budgets. He/She creates a positive and supporting atmosphere for the team and neighbouring functions as we work together to strengthen the finance partnership with the business.

This role is part of the Opex Center of Excellence (COE) within the Finance Operations and Transformation team. This person will direct report to Brand Opex controller and supporting her/him to monitor and control OPEX of India Business Unit General Medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support for tracking headcount, personnel cost on a monthly basis and compare to budgeted and forecasted vacancy rates, including trend analysis for key drivers of change
  • Support for preparation OPEX analysis reporting with more detail, tracking actual OPEX via Internal Order and CC report, tracking for Digital AnP reporting
  • Support in budgeting cycle for OPEX, including Head count, Personnel Cost input and analysis, participate in HR Rolling Forecast process.
  • Preparation product allocation profile for Business Units
  • Maintain MDM Cost center, create IO in SAP, eBUY LCC
  • Support for preparation accrual for closing monthly
  • PO follow up, coordinating Open PO review for Business Unit function.
  • Support all key finance initiatives, including iShift implementation and SMART Spend
  • Supporting in tracking all assumptions built into budget and forecasts
  • Work effectively across multiple ERP systems, Oracle, etc., and reporting tools, Boost, etc.,
  • Ad hoc projects as required
About You

Experience:
  • 1-2 year of financial controlling experience
Soft skills:
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated organization savvy and self- awareness, results oriented
  • Must have high attention to detail, quality and proven ability to operate effectively under pressure and strict deadlines
Technical skills:
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Capable of working in multiple systems and tools
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Highly capable working in multiple systems and tools
  • Proven experience working across multiple internal stakeholders
  • Solid grasp of evolving Sanofi technology platforms, processes, and controls including SAGA
  • Strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail
  • Technology savvy, business orientation, and agile learning abilities required
Education:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
  • Preferred:
  • Commercial Finance
  • Experience in iShift and TM1
  • Pharmaceutical and public accounting experience
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience
  • TM1 and SAP experience
