Indirect Procurement Specialist (senior Executive)

Job Description


This role involves managing structured procurement efforts across the indirect segment, driving cost optimisation and value creation, while ensuring adherence to company policies and achieving performance targets.

  • Meet and surpass all specified targets and performance indicators, exceeding soft improvement objectives and initiatives assigned.
  • Supervise subordinates to ensure consistent and effective task and self-management, ensuring achievement of individual, team, and departmental performance indicators, while fostering continuous personal growth within the department.
  • Lead the team in adopting structured procurement practices that result in cost optimisation, value creation, and ongoing improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity across the department and business unit.
  • Take charge of structured procurement efforts and promote best practices within the business unit, particularly in assigned category responsibilities. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, involve key stakeholders in category strategies, and align them with business objectives.
  • Develop, implement, and execute cost optimisation initiatives that foster value creation and continuous improvement. Introduce and apply Category Management principles, establishing local implementation plans to address the specific needs of the business unit.
  • Lead and oversee sourcing, supplier management, and relevant governance activities, ensuring their proper initiation and completion.
  • Monitor, measure, and communicate the progress of agreed-upon category strategies, milestone achievements, and any market developments that may impact or benefit the business unit to relevant stakeholders.
  • Continuously identify and establish the requirements for improved cross-functional processes, policies, and local standards, strengthening collaboration with stakeholders at the business unit and regional levels.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to company values, business principles, policies, and best practices throughout procurement processes. Act as a point of contact for cross-functional teams to develop, engage, and implement these matters.
  • Attend and represent the Head of Procurement in management meetings or meetings with internal and external stakeholders as necessary.

  • Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding targets and key performance indicators.
  • Demonstrated expertise in category management and driving category strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Proficient in sourcing, supplier management, and relevant governance activities.
  • Excellent monitoring and communication skills to effectively track and report on the execution of category strategies and market developments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify process improvements and implement cross-functional solutions.
