The IT Intern will assist the IT Executive in maintaining and supporting the company's ERP, POS, and IT infrastructure. This role provides hands-on experience in system administration, IT support, documentation, and process improvement within a retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. ERP & POS Support
Assist in uploading promotional listings into ERP/POS systems.
Help update menu items, discounts, and promotional campaigns under guidance.
Support correction of data errors and assist in vendor/item creation in ERP systems.
2. IT Support & Troubleshooting
Provide first-level support for hardware and software issues at HQ and outlets.
Assist in troubleshooting POS devices, printers, PCs, and network equipment.
Escalate unresolved issues to the IT Executive or vendors.
3. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare and maintain user manuals, guides, and SOPs for ERP, POS, and IT systems.
Assist in generating routine reports, including sales, purchase, and stock adjustment reports.
Help maintain accurate records of IT inventory, consumables, and assets.
4. IT Infrastructure Assistance
Assist in monitoring and maintaining network equipment, CCTV, and audio systems.
Support system preparations for planned outages or upgrades.
Help with device setup and configuration for new employees.
5. Process & Project Support
Research and propose new IT tools or software to improve operational efficiency.
Assist the IT Executive in IT-related projects, including stocktakes, cycle counts, and minor ERP/POS updates.
Qualifications & Skills:
Pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Basic understanding of ERP and POS systems.
Basic understanding of MS Office Suite, namely Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Familiarity in SQL and database administration concept.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python and etc.
Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and network fundamentals.
Good problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Eager to learn, proactive, and able to work under supervision.
