This role is meant to \'Run the Business\' for Infrastructure Support. The person with this responsibility will have the following systems reporting to him/ her Networks Security Database Linux Storage Blade Enclosures and Servers This role is meant to keep the lights on, 24x7, 365 days a year, for infrastructure support and IT operations. Improve end-user experience and infrastructure service delivery. Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit and security requirements. Lead the Infrastructure Disaster Recovery Planning and Execution The role will involve working at odd hours (if required). The role will also be involved in projects, such as technology refresh and onboarding, migrations and cloud adoptions. MAIN TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES: TASK AREA MAIN TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES Functional Responsibilities To oversee Infrastructure operations Executing service requests Monitoring infrastructure Evaluate patches and fixes and plan deployments Patching and maintenance Configuration management Fine Tuning of infrastructure Replication, Backup and Restoration Infrastructure PlanningA Monitor storage, CPU, memory capacity Plan for upgrades Proactive EOL planning Infrastructure Disaster Recovery DR Planning and Scheduling Execution of planned DR with the business To participate in Change management Participate in scheduled change and emergency change processes Managing infrastructure change Infrastructure Processes Defining and improving ITIL processes such as but not limited to change, incident and problem management Defining and improving day-to-day operations processes such as but not limited to patching and reviews Familiar but no limited to virtualization technologies such as VMware Familiar but not limited to database technology like MySQL Familiar but not limited to networking concepts like firewall, switching, load balancers, WAF Vendor management on renewals, services and escalations. Participation in organizational roadmap to cloud. Managerial responsibilities Managing the infrastructure team (Server, Network and Database) to execute the functional activities above and also to ensure timely closure of audit and penetration test findings Provide technical advice and guidance to staff Manage resources allocation as required Organizational Responsibilities Ensuring that the company\'s infrastructure is up and running 24 X 7, with monitoring and alerts/ notifications and timely issue resolution Able to meet business and provide solutions regarding infrastructure services Able to lead/participate in meetings with internal/external customers for BAU or project related activities Able to work at odd hours or long hours as required Education / Certification Minimum Degree in Computer Science or Engineering. ITIL Certified Professional Experience (Variety of Functions, Variety of Business, General Management Experience) Experience Minimum of 6 years in IT Infrastructure Operation Skills Able to articulate and handle incidents and problems Able to translate business requirements into technical requirements. Able to coach and groom team Able to motivate team Project and/or Process Experience Server migration, data migration, firmware upgrades Additional Cloud journey and migration Leadership Experience Setting expectations to the team Setting goals to the team Keeping track of team performance and gaps Identifying potentials while grooming the team Intercultural / International Experience Working in a fast-paced organization.
