Job Description


Jadestone Energy is an independent oil and gas production company focused on the Asia Pacific region. In 2021, Jadestone acquired SapuraOMV\'s assets in Peninsular Malaysia. These assets include interests in four licenses, two of which Jadestone has operated since the 2021 acquisition. These include a 70% operated interest in the PM329 PSC, containing the East Piatu field, and a 60% operated interest in the PM323 PSC, which contains the East Belumut, West Belumut and Chermingat fields. In addition, Jadestone acquired a 50% non-operated working interest in the PM318 and AAKBNLP PSCs, which were operated by PETRONAS Carigali. Jadestone assumed operatorship and full interest of those two PSCs earlier this year and is now engaged with PETRONAS on a path to unlocking additional value through these assets. Outside of Malaysia, the Company has a 100% operated working interest in the Stag oilfield and in the Montara project, both offshore Australia. Both the Stag and Montara assets include oil producing fields, with further development and exploration potential. The Company also has a 16.67% non-operated interest in the North West Shelf Oil Project offshore Western Australia, comprising four oil fields containing significant upside potential through potential infill drilling and life extension activities. Further, the Company has a 100% operated working interest in two gas development blocks in Southwest Vietnam, and an operated 100% interest in the Lemang PSC, onshore Sumatra, Indonesia, which includes the Akatara gas field development, where first production is expected in the first half of 2024. Most recently, the Company acquired a non-operated 9.52% interest in the Sinphuhorm producing gas field onshore Thailand. This position reports to the Engineering and Maintenance Superintendent. The successful candidate will act as the main focal point for both onshore and offshore as well as responsible for the co-ordination of all inspection activities. The successful candidate will also assist in the development of, and coordinate Asset and Operating Integrity Inspection and Test Plans, piping repairs or replacement, and structural repairs as required to ensure that Jadestone Energy offshore structures, and equipment function safely and productively, within budget and available resources, with the objective of meeting unit business goals. Principle Accountabilities: Assist in all strategy reviews and in the development of inspection programmes. Where necessary input to detailed plans, programmes, work scopes and carry out pre-surveys of equipment. Ensure all agreed offshore inspections are implemented and completed as scheduled. Supervise Contractor\'s personnel and third parties. Ensure the contractor understands the work scope, associated risks and the work is completed and reported as specified in the work scope. Carry out briefings/Toolbox Talks to all Inspection/ NDT Personnel prior mobilization or when deemed necessary. Ensure inspection reports within the time period as stated in the procedure. Use approved templates for items inspected ensuring condition, suitability for further service and observations are included plus supporting information such as NDT reports. Review and where applicable sign acceptance of inspection reports completed by NDT technicians or Third parties\' contractors. Assess defects or anomalies found, ensuring use of the Jadestone\'s Energy anomaly process. Provide remedial recommendations as required and inspect the subsequent repair work for acceptance. Update or provide information for updating the inspection database (e.g. Nexus RBI) and maintenance management systems (e.g. CMMS) with inspection activities as required. To be accountable for Jadestone\'s Energy RBI programme. Attend meetings and reviews as appropriate e.g. Shutdown, anomaly, planning, safety and hazard risk assessment, etc. Maintain assigned Logs or Registers up-to-date and in accordance with Jadestone\'s Energy procedures. Issue status reports as required e.g. daily/ weekly/ handover, etc. The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post. Assist with any other duties as and when required. Undertake specific projects & tasks as instructed by management. Overall integrity effectiveness and management which includes, criticality assessments, consequence/ complexity rating of fixed equipment, development of fit-for-purpose risk-based strategies, setting optimum task intervals including considerations to local regulations/ statutory requirements, timely review of inspection findings, and ever-greening of strategies. Technical mentoring and providing continuous on-the-job guidance to junior engineers in the team. Ability to learn and adapt to an agile and flexible working environment, continuously stay abreast of latest developments in industry standards/ practices, bring in leanings/ experience to challenge and improvise Jadestone\'s Energy work processes/ practices. Candidate Requirements Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in upstream oil and gas facilities related to the following: Inspection and corrosion discipline Fixed equipment mechanical integrity related discipline Asset integrity project management activities Background in mechanical design, selection, fabrication and quality assurance of pressure equipment, heat exchangers, piping systems, valves, and pressure relief devices Working knowledge in key sections of ASME Sec Div. 1/2, ASME Sec V, ASME Sec IX, ASME Sec Il, ASME B31.3/ B31.1/ B31.4/ B31.8, API RP 571, API580/API581/ASME PCC-2. One International Welding certificate such as CSWIP or equivalent is an added advantage. API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspector or API 570 Piping Inspection certification NDT certification for core techniques is an added advantage. Candidate Profile Ability to coordinate multiple tasks (planning, organizing, control) Strong technical communication skills and good interpersonal skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Generally strong technical understanding of ITM (Inspection, Testing & Maintenance) techniques. Must be capable and prepared to work offshore as needed in the course of surveys, inspections, and oversight work.
