The Inspection Engineer will be responsible for the pressure equipment integrity for both Sabah & Sarawak Assets offshore. You will plan and execute inspection activities for offshore topside facilities, perform pressurized equipment integrity assessment analysis, repair, and replacement requirements. The role also includes identification of potential materials degradation issues from potential change of operating condition or equipment, working proactively with operations, maintenance, engineering discipline, and inspection personnel to assure equipment integrity are properly addressed. The inspection engineer also to provide input of technical aspects during development of repair scope of pressure vessels and piping. You will work closely with Area Inspector during inspection, repair, and maintenance activity and provide technical input during Shell Risk Based Inspection assessment and validation activities and Campaign and Turn Around work scope challenges. WHERE YOU FIT IN The Inspection Engineer will be part of Natural Team (Execution) under Discipline Engineering to support the Perform Maintenance Execution (PME) processes. You will also be working with multidiscipline peers, other teams, and MCI Lead to deliver Materials, Corrosion, and Inspection support following Asset Management System (AMS), utilizing Integrity Management System \xe2\x80\x93 Pressure Equipment Integrity (IMS-PEI) as primary tools. You may be required to support engagement with external stakeholders such as JV Partners and Regulators. THE ROLE As the Inspection Engineer, you will be accountable for the following requirements:
Plan for optimized inspection execution for pressurized equipment and topside structure
Participation in Turn Around planning and execution for inspection and corrective maintenance that may include turn around preparation activities, scope development, execution, and close out
Develop scope of examination (SOE) for inspection of pressure equipment
Provide ad hoc support in the event of issues that requires immediate attention or short-term threat to maintain integrity and reliability
Develop/Set, review inspection, and repair schedules in the Integrity Management System (IMS)
Record, report, and analyze data in IMS system
Support Manage Threat Opportunity (MOT) process either as a threat owner or discipline support
Support Manage Equipment Care, Perform Maintenance Execution and Ensure Safe Production process for Materials, Corrosion & Inspection discipline
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Engineering Degree in Materials, Corrosion and Inspection related subject, or a discipline related to Pressure Equipment Integrity and Materials, Corrosion, and Inspection
NACE or API certification in Materials, Corrosion, and Inspection
A minimum of 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Materials, Corrosion and Inspection related role at offshore facilities in Hydrocarbon production
Strong personal leadership and self-management with the ability to collaborate well with a diverse population
Knowledge in field inspection, facilities, equipment, Materials and Corrosion
Knowledge in standard Non-Destructive Testing
Knowledge in asset integrity and repair assessments
Knowledge in Risk-based Inspection (RBI)
Good communications skills
