Job Description
Responsibilities: Providing support to partners and senior lawyers in respect of different areas of IP law including without limitation to the following: IP Litigation - Conducting legal research; drafting cause papers; assisting in court appearances. Brand Protection & Enforcement - Coordinating investigations into infringing activities; organising and attending administrative raid actions; preparing cease and desist letters. Franchising & Licensing - Reviewing and drafting agreements; franchise registration. Other possible areas - IP advisory and prosecution; TMT; regulatory compliance. Requirements: Strong academic qualifications. Called to the Malaysian Bar with 0 to 2 years post-qualification experience. Candidates who have recently been called are encouraged to apply. Valid driver\'s license and willing to travel occasionally to attend to raid actions. Good research, drafting and opinion writing skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage. Able to work independently with minimal supervision, detail-oriented, adaptable with a positive working attitude.
