Job Description

Work closely with clients and internal teams to understand project briefs and space usage requirements Conduct site inspections, building surveys, and feasibility assessments Research design trends, materials, and technical solutions relevant to each project Prepare design concepts, mood boards, and space planning layouts Produce rough sketches, detailed drawings, and full design documentation Develop detailed designs including material, finishes, furniture, lighting, and fixture selections Prepare digital presentations for client and management approval Determine project scope, requirements, and cost estimates during the budgeting phase Assist in value engineering to meet budget and project objectives Negotiate design fees, manage project schedules, and monitor timelines Coordinate with consultants, suppliers, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle Lead, guide, and review work from junior designers (if applicable) Attend project meetings and provide professional design input Supervise site works to ensure design intent, workmanship quality, and compliance with drawings Monitor site progress and resolve design or construction-related issues Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required standards Support overseas projects and liaise with international stakeholders when required Strong technical knowledge in design development and site supervision Proficient in design and presentation software (Autocad, SketchUp, 3D tools, Adobe) Able to manage multiple projects independently with minimal supervision Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) to support overseas projects, especially China
