Interior Designer

Project and Development Services (PDS)

What this job involves

Lead the development of design concepts, space planning, layouts, and detailed drawings for interior workplace design projects.

Work closely with clients and stakeholders to establish project goals, objectives and translate these into design solutions.

Conduct research on new products, materials, and design trends to ensure that design concepts are innovative and relevant.

Support senior interior designers to deliver medium to large-scale workplace projects.

Develop presentations, mood boards, and 3D visualizations to effectively communicate design concepts to clients and project stakeholders.

Develop detailed drawings and specifications, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details, and communicate these effectively to project teams.

Review and provide feedback on shop drawings, construction documents, and other project-related materials to ensure that design intent is being met.

Conduct site visits and coordinate with project teams to ensure that design solutions are being implemented as intended.

Mentor junior designers and provide guidance and support to team members.

Interested? An ideal candidate would need to have the following qualifications

Desired experience and technical skills

Required

Degree in interior design or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in workplace interior design.

Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite.

Knowledge of workplace design trends, building codes, and industry standards.

Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Experience leading design projects from concept to completion.

Willingness to learn and take direction from senior designers.

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor junior designers and provide guidance to team members.

Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

Preferred
