Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma, Degree, Advanced Degree.
  • Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia, optionally Mandarin.
  • Positive attitude, passionate on collaborative teamwork, excel at interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptable to change, able to pivot and find alternate solutions, demonstrated capability in meeting new challenges.
  • Good problem solving skills, able to navigate unexpected situations or conditions.
  • Critical observer-thinker, bringing fresh perspective and offer intuitive solutions and ideas.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in driving teamwork excellence, conflict resolution.
  • Business-minded where applicable with entrepreneurship skill to ensure business success.
  • Have strong knowledge of applicable system automation, business solution softwares.
Responsibilities
  • Meet with clients to understand their vision, functional needs, and budget constraints.
  • Develop creative design concepts that align with the client\'s vision, functional requirements, and project constraints.
  • Prepare detailed sketches, mood boards, or 3D visualizations to illustrate the proposed design concepts.
  • Incorporate knowledge of interior design principles, color theory, and space planning to create compelling designs.
  • Research and source suitable materials, finishes, fixtures, and furniture based on the design concept and client\'s preferences.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed technical drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and construction documents, using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards in the design documentation.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate design elements effectively.
  • Provide guidance and instructions during the construction or renovation phase to ensure adherence to the design intent.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address design-related issues, and provide on-site solutions.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, keeping in mind the client\'s financial constraints and cost-effective design solutions.
  • Source competitive quotations from suppliers and contractors.
  • Monitor project expenses and provide cost-effective alternatives without compromising the design quality.
  • Present design proposals, including renderings, material samples, and specifications, to clients, stakeholders, or project review committees.
  • Stay updated with the latest design trends, materials, and technologies in the interior design industry.
