About our group:

We are a team of IT (Information Technologies) professionals from Seagate. We are responsible for creating and implementing data-driven solutions to support business decisions and operations. The use of AI and ML allows for real-time data analysis and decision making, predictive maintenance, and the optimization of production processes. We collaborate with the business teams to harness the full potential of Industry 4.0 - Real-time control, IoT, Big Data and Analytics, Automation and Artificial Intelligence to support \xe2\x80\x9cSmart Factory\xe2\x80\x9d initiative, to make better decision and maximize operational excellence.

About the role - you will:

Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Tableau

Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights within the data

Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reports and analytics

Work closely with the data engineering and analytics teams to gather, clean, and prepare data for visualization

Be working on office site and NOT remotely

About you:

• Familiar and well versed in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Development, or a related discipline
• Flexible and adaptive in learning new technologies and tools
• Proficient in SQL for data manipulation and extraction
• Passionate about big data, statistics, data management, data processing, data testing, data governance or analysis
• An IT related undergraduate seeking opportunities for internship programme

Your experience includes:

• Familiarity in analytics, reporting, or business intelligence
• Application of analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and derive meaningful insights
• Understanding of data visualization best practices and principles
• Hands-on involvement in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server development

You May Also Have:

• Ability to communicate and work cross-functionality
• Background in data science, applied mathematics, or otherwise research-based field

Our Penang office is based in Suntech at Cybercity. Easily accessible from two bus stops, many employees take mass-transportation to work.
