Responsibilities:

• You will be part of the global team that develops and manages the state-of-the-art, in-house developed application used in BASF plants around the world
• You will assist the Data Engineering and Application Operations Engineering teams
• You will gain hands-on experience in SQL/database development and ETL tasks
• You will help monitor and document relevant initiatives and processes

Requirements:

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related field
• Able to commit to a full-time internship for a duration of 5 to 6 months
• Possess a growth mindset with a strong curiosity to learn and improve
• Fundamental understanding of SQL programming and ETL processes
• Enthusiastic about exploring data engineering topics
• Basic knowledge of SQL (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, JOINs)
• Passion for problem-solving and developing creative solutions
• Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Team player with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Experience in software development, particularly in web and mobile applications
• Solid understanding of the development lifecycle and agile methodologies
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL databases in an added advantage
• Skilled in data analysis and writing SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and update data within databases
