Job Description

The Electrician/Instrument Technician Intern will assist the Electrical & Instrumentation team in installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and instrumentation equipment. The intern will gain hands-on experience in industrial electrical systems, control panels, and process instrumentation used in [e.g. manufacturing, plant, construction, or engineering projects].

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the installation, wiring, and termination of electrical panels, control systems, and instrumentation devices. Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities on electrical and instrumentation equipment. Assist in testing and calibration of instruments such as transmitters, sensors, flow meters, and control valves. Learn to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings (e.g. SLD, loop diagram, wiring diagram). Support troubleshooting of electrical faults and assist in repair works under supervision. Assist in preparing maintenance or testing reports. Ensure compliance with company safety standards and procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or mentor.

Requirements:

Currently pursuing a

Diploma / Certificate / Degree

in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related field. Basic knowledge of electrical circuits, control systems, and instrumentation equipment. Able to use basic electrical tools and test instruments (e.g. multimeter, megger). Good communication skills and willingness to learn. Able to work both independently and in a team environment. Commitment to follow safety practices and company policies.

Exposure to real project environments and industrial electrical/instrumentation systems. Hands-on experience in installation, calibration, and troubleshooting activities. Understanding of safety procedures and maintenance documentation. Develop teamwork, communication, and technical problem-solving skills.
