Job Description


JOB PURPOSE

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of instructional design and/or learning design at beginner\'s level. Good writing skills is a must. The incumbent\'s role is to support activities related to transforming content for online learning such as designing the blueprint of an online course, and developing a wide range of e-Learning content and solution to support the blended and full-fledge learning initiatives of the University in Taylor\'s Integrated Moodle e-Learning System (TIMeS), as well as other platforms. The incumbent\'s roles may also involve design web-based graphics, design learning materials, and web-search information. Having knowledge of programming languages such as HTML5, Bootstrap, or CSS but will be an added advantage.

KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the team in the design, construction, and implementation of e-learning applications, and courseware that support e-Learning initiatives of the University.
  • Assist the team in producing learning content as well as to deliver technology training via Web-based educational models and corresponding software tools for the faculty.
  • Active in brainstorming and aid in conceptualising, development, and layout of the appropriate technical infrastructure required to deliver digital e-learning content to its audience.
  • Liaise with respective support teams to analyse and prepare reports on end-user progress.
  • Share and discuss issues on TIMeS to the respective support teams within the department.
  • Assist in collecting data and information related to e-Learning products and services in support of development and purchasing efforts.
  • Support in developing training materials and documentation.
  • Creative, multi-tasking, self-motivated, independent, ability to follow instructions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the direct report or the Head of Department.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualification
  • Working towards a recognized Bachelor/Master\'s degree in any relevant field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Education, English/TESL, Instructional Design and Technology, Multimedia Design and Development, or equivalent.
  • Minimum CGPA 3.0
  • Micro-Credential skills/Teaching/training experience will be an added advantage.
