As an Intern PR & Communications, you will be working with a mix of AirAsia MOVE\xe2\x80\x99s Regional PR team, alongside PR Teams in Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines, as well as having the opportunity to be in close interaction with AirAsia MOVE\xe2\x80\x99s Social Media team on a day-to-day basis. This role will be based out of our office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.You will also be working closely with the Marketing team as well as all lines of businesses across AirAsia MOVE, such as Hotels, Flights, Duty-Free, Rewards, Rides and more.You will fit perfectly if you enjoy a fast-paced working environment with passionate colleagues. Having a knack for capturing the spirit of a concept with still and moving images, and a willingness to experiment with fun-spirited visual communications will make you stand out in this application!A DAY IN A LIFEMultitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you working with your supervisor and team members to:Work with your supervisor to initiate and build strong, productive relationships with local media publications and online portals, as well as content creators or Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).Obtain favourable media coverage for the company\xe2\x80\x99s products and services.Ability to plan and propose PR plans for the AirAsia MOVE\xe2\x80\x99s lines of businesses and execute them alongside other team members.Prepare media documents - press releases, briefing documents, speeches, content creators\xe2\x80\x99 brief, and all other relevant external communications materials. This also includes production of audio visual materials (short form videos, etc) to accompany official company announcements.Ability to translate media documents. (Bahasa Malaysia / Mandarin proficiency will be a strong advantage)Learn how to conduct overall pitching of interviews for the company\xe2\x80\x99s spokespersons as and when needed.Media monitoring, especially for AirAsia MOVE and its line of businesses, and preparing PR Reports for each campaign.Be involved in Crisis Communications training of the company as a participant.Engage with communities of content creators or Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) across the region, as well as organise media familiarisation trips to various airasia destinations, products and services reviews, and more.Assist with ad-hoc social media content shooting and production / be a talent for social content where required.SKILLSThese are minimum-requirement skills and a \xe2\x80\x98must-have\xe2\x80\x99 for the role:Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (ability to translate into Bahasa Malaysia will be an added advantage)Ability to meet deadlines and adapt quickly to changesIndependent and requires minimal supervisionMeticulous and self-drivenFun with a positive natureThese are skills that are \xe2\x80\x98nice-to-have\xe2\x80\x99 and will make you stand-out in the job application:Detailed oriented and thoughtfulness that are translated in the deliveries of your workMust be able to multitask and work well under pressurePeople person and team playerResourcefulness in finding solutionsDesign/ creative background / experience; understanding of typography, layout, form, color and spatialization; well versed in design process and production methods will be an advantageQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEDegree or Studying in Mass Communications, Public Relations, Media, JournalismCan commit with at least 3 months internship and above
