About the role
The Intern, Procurement is responsible to executing various purchasing and sourcing activities required for Novugen pharmaceutical procurement processes. The incumbent will take guidance from managers within the supply chain ecosystem and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Novugen's mission of delivering safe and effective medications to patients.
Key Responsibilities:-
Monitor and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that arise
To raise Request for Quote (RFQ) to suppliers and analyse their proposals
Notify receiving party on incoming and outgoing shipments
Ensure timely and accurate purchasing, order processing and delivery of goods and services.
Perform goods received from suppliers in good order and conditions
Update transactions in the system and generate monthly reports for management review
Maintain and upkeep vendor and price lists, RFQ to PO status tracking/dashboards
Follow up on specification issues, inventory deficit, any discrepancies and claims (quality, quantity, warranty). Feedback to managers on market sentiment
Contribute inputs to managers when reviewing procurement SOPs, workflows and as part of process improvement. Follow best practices and SOPs to streamline procurement operations
Any other ad hoc tasks assigned by the management
About you
Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and able to learn new software programs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong intrapreneurial skills and mindset from start up to established organization
Versatile and resilient, ability to stay positive in high-pressure and ambiguous environments and work towards delivering results
