Get to Know the Team
The Adserving team, spanning Beijing, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur, is dedicated to building scalable and ad delivery systems for Grab's platform while prioritizing collaboration, creativity, and camaraderie. Focused on improving metrics like viewable inventory, sell-through rate, and pricing efficiency to maximize ad revenue, the team also fosters inclusive culture through bonding activities, team-building events, and casual gatherings. By increasing collaboration, the team ensures innovation, ad relevance, and impactful results, creating a supportive environment.
Get to Know the Role
As a valuable member of our engineering department, you will gain hands-on experience developing backend systems that power our applications. This internship will provide you with the opportunity to learn and contribute to real-world projects, enhancing your skills in software engineering.
This is a paid internship role and is based onsite in Petaling Jaya.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Collaborate with teams to design, and ship new features
• Improve existing systems for maximum speed and scalability
• Participate in code reviews and help engineer best practices
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes

Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Only for candidates who are available to start in July 2025.
• Your studies are in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field as an undergraduate
• Only for candidates who are available to start in July 2025
• Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages such as Golang, Java, C++, C, Python., and willing to work with Golang
• You can structure data and write algorithms
• You have experience with database systems, both SQL and NoSQL
• Familiarity with version control systems Git
