Our Developer Experience team builds frameworks, libraries and primitives for fellow engineers, so that they product features more quickly. We aim to bring joy, delight and excellence into the daily work of thousands of Grab engineers.
Get to Know the Role
As an intern in our team, you will help develop high-performance, scalable backend systems that power our the latest applications. You will report to the Software Engineer Manager. This is a paid internship role and is based onsite in Petaling Jaya.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will build product and services that are frameworks, libraries and primitives that allow product engineers to build their services
• You will build foundational tools so that engineers don't have to reinvent the wheel
• You will design and implement efficient, scalable, and maintainable backend services using Go programming language
• You will debug and fix existing and challenging software issues in production environments
• You will support the design and deployment of backend infrastructure components, including APIs, microservices, and data storage systems.
• You will contribute to the development of automation scripts and tools to improve infrastructure efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Only for candidates who are available to start in July 2025
• You majored in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology/Science.
