Get to Know the Team
The Mobility team is responsible for the Transport module in the Grab app. We improve the core transport booking experience. We are working on high throughput, real-time distributed systems that use machine learning techniques to solve hundreds of millions of requests per day. Our mission is to offer the best products and experiences to our passengers to increase adoption and engagement of our services.
Get to Know the Role
As an intern at Grab, you'll be paired with a manager and mentor, working on critical backend services and web applications for ride and booking placements. You'll engage with end-users to understand and solve their challenges, contributing to business projects. You'll design apps improving millions, experience the latest web technologies, and grow in a knowledge-sharing environment focused on software engineering best practices like static analysis and code reviews.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Design and implement RESTful APIs
• Build and deploy performant modern web applications in React, Redux, Webpack, and ES6
• Architect efficient and scalable backend systems
• Write unit, functional and end-to-end tests
• Write high-quality code (Go) that communicates with upstream backend services with HTTP APIs
• Resolve performance and scalability issues
• Participate in code and design reviews
