Company is seeking a motivated accounting intern who is ready to apply knowledge of financial terms and principles to an authentic real-world experience. The intern will assist with a wide range of duties, including analyzing data, preparing financial reports, and learning about varied accounting activities. Staff claims processing.
Assist in Internal Control documentation.
Assist in follow up with all parties to ensure all invoices posted, paid and cleared on time.
Assist in reporting, analysis including vendor/customer balances reconciliation and ageing report.
Liaise with operations department, external auditors, holding company, banks and other external parties where necessary to obtain necessary information and confirmation for compliance purposes.
Prepare payment vouchers, cheques, and payment requisitions to ensure invoices are properly approved in accordance with authority matrix and payments correctly.
Assist in other accounts and administration works as requested from superior.
Assist with month-end financial reports.
Help with accounts receivable, payable, and bank statement reconciliation.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
Collaborate with the finance team on yearly forecasting efforts.
Manage monthly tracking of physical inventory.
Support the payment processing team.
Assist with data entry.
Ad-hoc assignments and projects as and when required.
Requirements
Candidate must possess or currently pursuing a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Accounting major or any related fields or equivalent.
Preferable duration for an internship: 4 to 6 months
Good organization & communication skills, able to work independently.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Aptitude for mathematics
Basic understanding of financial and accounting principles
