The primary focus of the internship role is to assist green building consultants in handling and coordinating of on-going project(s) with technical and research support.Detailed scope of work including but not limited to:

• Study all aspects of a building\xe2\x80\x99s certifications such as GBI/GreenRE/MyCREST/WELL/LEED/Green Mark certification process. Make recommendations and assist with the design and implementation of green building principles.
• Build and maintain green building scoring strategies for reporting to the client.
• Assist in creating documentation and reports for green building certification submissions.
• Work with the team on ESG initiatives such as circular economy, water /waste management and recycling.
• Work closely with the team and assist them to actively promote the sustainability program and to achieve sustainability objectives in the design, planning and construction process.
• Perform basic green building technical analysis.
• Create and layout graphics for presentations, publications, and reports.
• Preparing presentation slides and materials libraries to support the green building consultants.
• Set up geometry model and perform basic Dynamic Energy Simulation/ Dynamic Daylight Simulation
• Assist green building consultant in reviewing architecture layout design, M&E Design, landscape design, and project material selection to ensure compliance with green building requirements.
• Perform basic water efficiency analysis and review water efficient design.
• Perform green building and material research.

Qualification:

• A general background in architecture, urban planning, real estate, landscape architecture, civil or mechanical engineering, building science, construction management, environmental engineering, environmental sciences, or allied field. Junior/Senior level Undergraduate or Graduate candidates are strongly preferred. Students who are Work-Study eligible in the Malaysia are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of green building rating tools and standards such as GBI, GreenRE, MyCREST, LEED, Green Mark, WELL, MS 1525, ASHRAE 90.1, and other related green building and sustainability metrics will a be plus.
• Strong personal interest in green buildings and sustainable design.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written), attention to detail, positive attitude and a desire to work within a team environment are a must.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software packages.
• Graphics, rendering, and layout skills a plus.
• A knack for innovation and problem-solving, and a collaborative, solutions-oriented working style.
