Job Description

Purpose of the Role:



To provide practical training and industry exposure in the tourism and travel sector. The intern will assist in managing tour operations, customer service, and travel planning, gaining first-hand experience in how a travel agency organizes and delivers travel experiences for clients.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Tour Planning & Coordination



Assist in preparing travel itineraries and tour proposals. Coordinate with local and international suppliers (hotels, transport, tour guides). Support the team in ensuring all travel arrangements are accurate and on time.

2. Customer Service & Support



Handle customer inquiries through email, phone, and walk-ins. Assist in booking confirmations, issuing invoices, and preparing travel documents. Provide pre-departure briefings and post-travel follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.

3. Product & Package Development



Support the team in creating new travel packages and promotions. Conduct research on destinations, pricing, and competitors. Assist in preparing marketing content such as brochures, flyers, and online posts.

4. Operations Assistance



Help in managing group tours (e.g. airport transfers, check-ins, logistics coordination). Learn the workflow of tour execution from planning to completion. Maintain proper documentation for tours, suppliers, and client bookings.

5. Administrative & Reporting Tasks



Prepare daily or weekly reports on customer feedback and sales activities. Support administrative functions such as filing, data entry, and correspondence.

Requirements:



Currently pursuing a

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Tourism Management, Hospitality, or related field

. Passionate about travel, tourism, and customer service. Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English (other languages are an advantage). Organized, proactive, and able to work in a team environment. Computer literate (Microsoft Office, social media tools, booking systems).

Learning Outcomes:



Gain hands-on experience in tour operations and travel management. Understand the end-to-end process of tour planning, execution, and customer handling. Develop communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Build knowledge of destinations, supplier networks, and tourism marketing.

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: RM500.00 per month
