This 3-month internship program is designed to provide final-year Computer Science students with practical experience in the fields of Enterprise Website Designing and Business Analyst processes. Interns will gain hands-on experience working on real-world projects, collaborating with experienced professionals, and developing valuable skills for their future careers.
Program Objectives:
Provide interns with practical experience in the design and development of enterprise-level websites.
Introduce interns to the core principles and methodologies of Business Analysis.
Develop interns' skills in requirements gathering, documentation, and communication.
Enhance interns' understanding of the software development lifecycle within an enterprise environment.
Provide interns with opportunities to network with professionals in the technology industry.
Program Structure (3 Months):
Phase 1: Enterprise Website Designing (Weeks 1-6)
Week 1: Introduction to Enterprise Web Design:
Overview of enterprise website architecture and design principles.
Introduction to relevant technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, frameworks, CMS - if applicable).
Introduction to Liferay or similar portal software, if being used.
Understanding user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design.
Weeks 2-4: Practical Web Development:
Hands-on experience in designing and developing web page layouts.
Learning about responsive web design and accessibility.
Working with content management systems (CMS) or portal platforms.
Introduction to version control (Git).
Weeks 5-6: Project Implementation:
Collaborating with the team on a real-world enterprise website project.
Applying learned skills in design, development, and testing.
Presenting project outcomes and participating in code reviews.
Phase 2: Business Analyst Processes (Weeks 7-12)
Week 7: Introduction to Business Analysis:
Overview of the role of a Business Analyst in software development.
Understanding business requirements and stakeholder communication.
Introduction to Business Analysis methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Weeks 8-10: Requirements Gathering and Documentation:
Learning techniques for gathering and documenting business requirements.
Creating user stories, use cases, and functional specifications.
Using tools for requirements management (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Weeks 11-12: Process Analysis and Improvement:
Analyzing existing business processes and identifying areas for improvement.
Creating process flow diagrams and models.
Presenting findings and recommendations to the team.
Program Components:
Mentorship: Each intern will be assigned a mentor to provide guidance and support throughout the program.
Workshops and Training: Interns will participate in workshops and training sessions on relevant technologies and methodologies.
Project Work: Interns will work on real-world projects to gain practical experience.
