Receive, inspect, and record all incoming medical supplies.
Verify quantities and quality of items against delivery notes, invoices, and purchase orders.
Maintain accurate stock records using inventory management software.
Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
Monitor stock levels and report low or near-expiry stock to the purchasing team.
2. Storage & Organization
Store materials in an orderly and accessible manner based on product type, expiry date, and storage requirements (e.g. temperature-sensitive items).
Label products clearly with batch numbers, expiry dates, and stock codes.
Maintain clean and hygienic storage conditions to meet medical supply standards.
3. Compliance & Safety
Ensure all products are stored and handled according to manufacturer guidelines and regulatory standards.
Follow health and safety procedures including handling of hazardous materials, proper disposal of expired items, and use of protective equipment.
Maintain documentation for regulatory inspections and audits.
4. Dispatch & Distribution
Prepare and pack supplies for delivery or internal distribution.
Coordinate with logistics or delivery personnel to ensure timely and accurate shipments.
Maintain records of dispatched materials including recipient, quantity, and delivery dates.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare stock reports, expiry reports, damage/loss reports, and audit documentation.
Maintain all receipts, delivery notes, and issuance records.
Use inventory or ERP systems for all documentation and data entry.
6. Coordination & Communication
Communicate with purchasing, quality control, and logistics teams regarding stock availability and movement.
Report discrepancies, delays, or issues with stock or suppliers.
Train junior warehouse assistants if applicable.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or a diploma in warehouse/inventory management is a plus.
Proven experience (2+ years) as a storekeeper, preferably in a medical or pharmaceutical environment.
Knowledge of medical supplies, storage conditions, and expiry management.
Familiarity with inventory management software
Physically fit and able to lift packages as required.
