Job Description

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities



Follow all hospital policies, procedures, and quality standards. Act as a patient advocate and health educator for patients and their families. Communicate and coordinate care with doctors, consultants, and other healthcare staff. Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans; maintain accurate medical records. Provide quality nursing care according to professional standards and hospital policies. Carry out doctors' or specialists' orders safely and correctly. Ensure patient safety at all times. Maintain good teamwork and effective communication with colleagues and other departments. Serve as the primary contact for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Perform any other duties assigned by Management as required.

Patient Care & Clinical Duties



Provide nursing care according to current professional standards. Plan, organize, and evaluate total patient care. Assist doctors during ward rounds, examinations, and special procedures. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Handle and monitor controlled drugs properly. Observe, record, and report patients' symptoms, reactions, and progress. Report any abnormal patient conditions to the doctor or team leader. Educate patients and families on health, treatments, and care procedures. Supervise and guide hospital aides and junior staff in basic patient care. Assist in the orientation of new nursing staff.

Operational & Safety Duties



Check and maintain equipment, crash carts, and medical supplies daily. Coordinate with auxiliary services (maintenance, housekeeping, dietary) as needed. Manage patient admissions, discharges, and transfers according to hospital policies. Perform emergency procedures (CPR/resuscitation) when required. Maintain strict sterile techniques and infection control practices. Collect and send specimens as instructed. Perform IV cannulation, venipuncture, and assist with specialized procedures. Escort patients in ambulances when necessary. Ensure a safe environment and report any hazards or faulty equipment. Follow all emergency codes and fire procedures. Comply with radiation, drug reaction, and infection control precautions.

Professional Development



Attend in-service training and education programs regularly. Participate in continuous learning and professional development activities. Share knowledge and skills with colleagues. Maintain sufficient CPD points for Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) renewal.

Requirements



Minimum Diploma in Nursing

Valid LJM certificate

Valid APC

Experience Nurse

Fresh graduate SRN also can apply (with LJM certificate)

Working hours


4days work 3 days off

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
