We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Island Tourism Executive who is well-versed in Malaysia's island destinations. Your role is to assist in planning, coordinating, promoting, and managing tourism activities related to islands across Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities
Provide accurate information and recommendations about Malaysia's islands (e.g., Langkawi, Redang, Perhentian, Tioman, Sabah islands, etc.).
Assist in planning and coordinating island travel packages, tours, and itineraries.
Communicate with local island operators, resorts, boat services, and tourism partners.
Handle customer inquiries through WhatsApp, social media, email, and calls.
Prepare simple write-ups or content for promotional materials (no design skills required).
Assist in logistics arrangements such as bookings, schedules, and updates.
Ensure customer satisfaction by offering helpful guidance and support before, during, and after trips.
Requirements
Fluent in Bahasa Melayu and English (spoken & written).
Strong knowledge of Malaysia's island attractions, accommodations, and activities.
Good communication and customer-service skills.
Able to work independently, responsible, and organised.
No higher education qualification needed -- experience and passion matter more.
Willing to learn and grow within the tourism industry.
Added Advantage (not compulsory)
Experience in travel agencies, hospitality, or tourism.
Familiarity with popular island travel seasons, weather patterns, and ferry/flight schedules.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
