The IT AWS Cloud Engineer will be part of a global infrastructure team responsible for delivering storage, virtualization, and server management services in a 24x7, mission-critical environment. The IT AWS Cloud Engineers primary duties will be focusing on cloud-AWS, include daily operations/administration infrastructure in AWS cloud, maintenance of server operating systems, cloud storage, services based on either PaaS or IaaS. He/She may be asked to perform disaster recovery operations, protecting data, upgrading software and make sure all infrastructure in cloud meets corporate security and compliance needs.

Main responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 Manage AWS cloud full lifecycle, provisioning, automation and security. Deploy and maintain PaaS & IaaS enterprise application for development, QA, staging, and production environments in AWS.

\xc2\xb7 Set up and administering multi-tier computer system circumstances.

\xc2\xb7 Configure and fine-tune cloud AWS infrastructure systems, meet security & compliance needs.

\xc2\xb7 Perform software upgrades. Kernel patching, errata patches.

\xc2\xb7 Maintain Data Integrity and access control in AWS application platform.

\xc2\xb7 Monitor effectively charging and cost optimization strategies.

\xc2\xb7 Manage disaster recovery and create backups.

\xc2\xb7 Maximize system performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with the infrastructure team on system impacts to the environment.

\xc2\xb7 Report systems operational status by gathering, prioritizing information; and managing projects.

\xc2\xb7 Analyze system problems, perform troubleshooting and incident response on the system and communicate with the appropriate personnel, track problems through to resolution.

\xc2\xb7 Follow IT change control best practices for predictable results.

\xc2\xb7 Experience supporting a data center environment, and willing to work after business hours rotated on-call support if required.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree and at least 5 years\' experience, or 7 years\' experience that is directly related to the job responsibilities.

\xc2\xb7 Certifications are a plus, but not required (AWS SOA, RHCSA, VCP, etc.)

\xc2\xb7 At least 3 years working experience administrating AWS cloud PaaS and IaaS, and enterprise data center working experience.

\xc2\xb7 Extensive knowledge of core AWS cloud services in IaaS & PaaS (EC2, EBS, S3, VPC, EKS, RDS, Lambda, etc.)

\xc2\xb7 Cloud Networking AWS: VPC, Security Groups (SG), NACL, ELBs, Route53, Direct Connect (DX), VPNs, Transit Gateway (TGW), Gateway Loa Balancers, Route-Tables

\xc2\xb7 Strong understanding & delivery experience of AWS cloud native architectures

\xc2\xb7 Experience in developing scripts, and how to use AWS code pipeline to automate operations.

\xc2\xb7 Basic understanding of the following technologies (hardware and ancillary tasks): o Virtualization technologies: VMWare

\xc2\xb7 Microsoft: Active Directory (Hybrid Model)

\xc2\xb7 Nice to have Linux administration experience and knowledge like bash, lvm, samba, postfix, cups, Wireshark, etc.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to demonstrate troubleshooting skills, think analytically while working in a fast-paced environment and the flexibility to work with a wide range of technologies.

\xc2\xb7 Must be able to multi-task and juggle multiple priorities while ensuring successful completion of all items.

\xc2\xb7 Forward thinker who designs for not only current business needs but plans for scalability and long-term solutions.

\xc2\xb7 Excellent writing and communication skills.
