Job Description

We are seeking an

experienced and detail-oriented Database Administrator (DBA)

to manage and maintain our organization's databases. You will ensure database performance, integrity, security, and availability while providing technical expertise in database design, implementation, and optimization.

Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain DBMS such as

Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL

. Monitor and optimize database performance. Ensure database security and integrity with proper access controls and backup strategies. Perform regular database backups, restorations, and disaster recovery testing. Optimize performance through query, index, and configuration tuning. Design, develop, and maintain schemas, tables, views, triggers, and stored procedures. Collaborate with development teams on database design and application support. Maintain documentation for database configurations and processes. Apply patches and perform upgrades to database software. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience

in database administration or similar roles. Proficiency in

SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL

. Experience with

replication, clustering, and failover strategies

. Strong knowledge of

database security, backup/recovery, and performance tuning

. Familiarity with

database design principles and data modeling

. Experience with

high availability and disaster recovery

solutions. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Experience with

cloud-based databases

(AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL). Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python). Familiarity with

database monitoring tools

(SolarWinds, Redgate, Nagios).
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
