IT Director / CIO

The company is an integrated agro-based business group, producing nourishing products from agro resources in Integrated Livestock Farming, Marine Products Manufacturing, Palm Oil Activities, and Convenient Store.

This person will be responsible for setting, developing and implementing group-wide IT objectives and strategies. The know-how in driving information system development and implementing IT project (specifically data management, business intelligence development, and digitalisation) would be crucial for the role. Additionally, the incumbent would need to have the experience in the infrastructure, security, networking, applications and governance areas. The impact of the role deliverables is to support business operations continuity and growth.

Direct subordinate: IT Application Manager, IT Infrastructure Manager, and the Transformation team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide input to IT steering committee to set and develop IT objectives and strategies, coordinate and drive IT development and information systems development
  • Implementation of approved IT initiatives in subsidiaries (including Indonesia and Vietnam).
  • Selecting and implementing suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits
  • Plan and drive management information system development and improvement opportunities and implementation of IT projects with stakeholders (example digitalisation, data management, business intelligence development).
  • Optimise and support existing applications of the Group, including Navision, human resource information systems and recommend appropriate IT applications to cater for business needs.
  • Manage networking related tasks including implementing and maintaining regional infrastructure, implementing network security and overseeing the administration of the company\'s WAN/LAN.
  • Develop and maintain Internal Systems including setting up group IT SOP and procedures, reviewing and recommending major IT systems & contracts (including telephone systems), overseeing troubleshooting, backups, disaster recovery and manage outsourced IT projects.
  • Oversee all help desk administration including resolving IT related issues.
  • Manage IT assets for the Group to ensure optimal usage, cost efficiency and in compliance to legal requirements.
  • Lead and provide ongoing guidance and training to direct reports and also to subsidiaries\' IT personnel in carrying out their roles and responsibilities. This includes identifying the training and development needs and driving the training and development programs for the Group\'s IT personnel and assisting with recruitment where applicable.
  • Responsible for the set-up and implementation of the IT function to support the Group\'s expansion plans in new regions/locations, including provision of required personnel with relevant skills/knowledge, systems, policies, procedures and statutory compliance.
Initiate and drive to continuous improvement of the Group\'s IT systems, policies, procedures and practices of the Group to support business operations continuity and growth. * Perform any other related duties as Management may require from time to time.

Requirements:
  • At least a Bachelor\'s Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science.
  • At least 10 years\' experience of transforming and managing significant Information Communications Technology (ICT) services in a large organisation.
  • Experience of successfully implementing an ICT strategy through business planning.
  • Experience in driving IT transformation in the areas of information system development (digitalization, data management, business intelligence).
Technical
  • Background in application more than infrastructure
  • Experience in application support functionally e.g supply chain, production, material requirement planning etc modules, other than financial modules
  • Have good experience in SAP will be good to have, experience in Regional ERP roll out, implementation and execution, and not only to support
  • Experience in establishing the roadmap for IT
  • Good project management skills

  • Experience in growing and bringing along the evolution and maturity of the IT journey and team building
  • Change management soft skills - work well with all levels, make small changes, demonstrate success and build momentum
  • Driving and make things happen with strong execution and influencing skills

  • Understanding of business functions, process and system
