s Learning Services

• Attending to classroom and office facilities queries and supports. (Regular classroom checking and maintenance)
• Supporting Online Learning Services
• Computer hardware, software and application troubleshooting
• Support computer lab maintenance and application deployment.
• VOI/VDI server & Classroom Central Control software administration and maintenance.
• Supporting Learning Management System such as Moodle, My Media, Ms Teams, Zoom, Skype etc.
• Handling teaching equipment and device such as wireless microphone, ipad, pointer, Multimedia Card, Converter, visualizer etc.

Network Services

• Tier 1 and Tier 2 network troubleshooting, system administration.
• Support ISP leased lines troubleshooting.
• Support SSL VPN in XMU Malaysia.
• Analysis Intrusion detection system log and action for prevention.
• Users access authentication system support
• Support access control in network security management.
• LAN and Wireless LAN Network installation and support.
• Support wireless LAN and LAN Network cabling in LAN/fibre repair and lay new labelling.
• Support of Network Monitoring System, DHCP server, Syslog, DNS server, FTP server and IP management system.
• Monitor and manage all Building ELV Room equipment, structure, fibre, LAN wired and power source connection.
• Monitor and manage server room network configuration. Includes A3 Main Data Centre and B1 Backup Server Room including air-con, UPS, fire system, CCTV, server rack, and cabling.
• Managing telephone PBX and video conferencing system.

Data Centre Services

• Able to perform day-to-day inspections of assigned critical data centre environment systems, which include the following: Precision Air-Cooling system, UPS, DC battery systems, fire suppression system, high sensitivity smoke detection system, water leaking system and data centre environment management systems.
• Inspect and examine prior sign off the maintained equipment/system done by maintenance vendor or OEM vendor witness by technician.
• Ensure maintenance vendor follows closely to the maintenance work method without deviation and according to the University safety regulations.
• Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting virtual (VMWare/Hyper-V) and physical servers, and maintenance of SAN/NAS storage systems, and backup infrastructure.
• Experience in Microsoft Technologies such as Active Directory, Exchange, Windows Desktop & Server.
• Strong administrative in mid-range platform systems like Linux, Ubuntu, Unix, etc.
• Understanding of security, network, virtualization, storage and database (on-premise and in the cloud).

Other Tasks

• Preparing online guides, checklist and procurement or assets documentations
• Supporting University events such as student recruitment or orientation etc.
• Learning and adopting new technology, to perform ad hoc functions as and when requires.

Skillset Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree, Engineering (Computer/ Telecommunication) or equivalent.
• Multiple positions are available. Fresh graduates or preferably with 1-3 year(s) of hands on experience specializing in IT/Computer \xe2\x80\x93System, Programming, Database Admin or Data Centre equivalent troubleshooting experience, are encouraged to apply.
• Programming skills - .Net/Python/SQL or PHP, HTML/ CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery, and JavaScript will be an advantage.
• System - Experience in MySQL server optimization, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Alibaba Cloud, Google cloud, GitHub, OpenStack etc.
• Web Development - familiar with web application environments, such as Drupal, WordPress, Laravel, and web deployment tools (Nginx, Apache, Lamp, Redis, OpenStack) is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time Salary: RM3,200.00 - RM4,500.00 per month Benefits:
