An exciting IT Executive (Johor Bahru) job has just become available at a fintech startup based in Johor Bahru.

About the IT Executive (Johor Bahru) Role:
Reporting directly to the IT Manager, in this job you are responsible for providing network, data centre, IT helpdesk, IT security and end-user support for the organisation. You will be managing third party vendor\'s performance for end user support while overseeing the incident management process for the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day IT support through various channels (phone, email, remote, face-to-face)
• Manage the installation and maintenance of hardware and software, including computers, laptops, VMs, databases, Sharepoint, printers, mobile devices, projectors, etc.
• Deploy desktop operating systems, software applications, VMs, and databases, and apply patches, perform testing, configuration, and automation
• Diagnose and repair IT hardware and software issues, and coordinate with service vendors when necessary
• Perform asset management for infrastructure and maintain accurate records of work performed
• Provide technical support for server and network infrastructure, including servers, network devices, workstations, and VMs. Perform regular upgrades and backups
• Troubleshoot system failures and bugs and implement solutions to restore functionality

To succeed in this IT Executive (Johor Bahru) role, you will need to be a high-potential and motivated individual who is independent in managing an in-house IT environment.

Key Requirements:

• Professional Certificate or Diploma/Degree in Information Technology or an equivalent field
• Proficient in troubleshooting and knowledgeable about Linux (Ubuntu and Red Hat), Windows 10/11 Operating systems, VM technology, Mac OS, and Office 365 applications suite (including Sharepoint)
• Capable of tasks such as installation, configuration, backup, troubleshooting, and automation
• Familiar with various databases such as Mysql, Sqlite, MangoDB, and Postgres
• Possesses basic coding skills in Scripting, Shell, and Python for automation purposes
• Effective communication skills in professional English (mandatory) and basic Chinese (nice to have) due to the nature of the role
