foodpanda's Central Operations IS LOOKING FOR AN IT INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER

SENIORITY LEVEL : Executive

FUNCTION : IT

LOCATION : Southgate Commercial Centre, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

REPORTS TO : IT Manager

WHAT YOU WILL OWN:

• Provides network & system support to maintain network infrastructure and platform operating systems.
• Ensure platforms are up to date, patched and secured.
• Ensures IT infrastructure systems & network performance meets company and IT customer requirements.
• Defines and provides training, documentations, processes and coordinates the implementation of infrastructure systems or network services.
• Participates in projects when needed, working either closely with regional team members or with our Berlin counterparts.
• Provides L2/L3 support to countries in the region that foodpanda has presence, while acting as PIC for all infrastructure or network related matters with parent company in Berlin.
• Proactively work with management team and Berlin to ensure that endpoints and infrastructure are current and future-proof.
• Working closely with IT Ops teams to streamline deployment, compliance, asset management and patching processes.
• Work on tickets and resolve them in accordance to predefined SLAs.
• General monitoring of related infrastructure health.
• Generate reports on utilization, health and recommends investments and expansions when needed.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE.

• Degree in IT with at least 2/3 years of relevant experience or Diploma in IT with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• A deep understanding of LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP etc... and ability to demonstrate implementing these technologies with common network stacks used in the industry.
• Experience in internal/external DNS, AAA, A, MX, CNAME, SPF, DKIM/DMARC records.
• Experience in system infrastructure platforms, on-premises: hyper-V, VmWare ESXi, acropolis etc.., public cloud based infrastructure; AWS, Google Cloud Platform or Alibaba cloud etc....
• A deep understanding of network security and system security.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and manage multiple-site roll-outs in a short timeframe.
• Experience with Palo Alto, Extreme Networks, Arista and Fortinet equipment a plus.
• Experience in building enterprise network environment with sustainable L2/L3 network support is an advantage.
• Experience with Jumpcloud is an advantage.
• Experience with Google Suite and Slack administration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and take initiative.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
