Job Overview:

We plan, build and operate the Bosch IT Engine Room for hosting network, server and storage systems as well as databases and cloud.

Job Responsibility:

• Location Infrastructure Consulting

• Consult on and Integrate CI standard Infrastructure Products into local environment in compliance to the standards set by the Infrastructure Product Owners
• Support ordering process by providing the specification for the BOM to ordering team, directly to the Location Team or directly placing the order (depending on individual site requirements)
• Build and maintain a relationship with ITBP (location manager) and other relevant stakeholders in the site
• Drive Infrastructure related Business Plan for Site and support Hardware Lifecycle for Infrastructure on site
• Make Site responsible aware and plan mitigation actions for Infrastructure related Risks
• Manage LIS and Infrastructure related Site Activities
• Support collaboration between relevant BD/PI PSO\'s
• Data Management

• Update (where needed) relevant Device-data in all related tools (e.g. CMDB)
• Responsible for maintaining Site and Room data in all related tools (e.g. CMDB, FNT)
• Provide Site with information regarding their BD Managed Infrastructure Services
• IT Room Operations & Access Management

• Conducts regular IT Room Audit and Site Visit accordance with C/ISP and BD Guidelines and Processes.
• Conduct regular Self-Audits and support other Audits (e.g. C/AU, ISO)
• Follow up on open points from audits and ensures timely closure
• Consult on/Approve of Power Maintenance Activities on Site (execution done by GOC)
• Regularly reviews and audits IT Room Access Processes and Logs. (BD/PI BUR09)
• Part of approval process for IT Room Access (WorkOn)
• Create, Review and Update IT Room Concept
• Create, Review and Update IT Room/Rack in FNT

• Local Site Support (Penang Bosch Sites)

• Support in the rollout activities by applying standard LIS processes, templates, and installation standards
• Support in the changes in local infrastructure environment
• Support, guide, and advice local teams in hands-on activities
• Ensure that BD infrastructure standards are maintained at all times in the location.
• Other Tasks

• Support BD/MI with integrations, moves, new locations, closures, and carve-outs
• Support with new room-builds
• Support Problem Management for Location Specific Problem Investigation that are not limited to a single Product and Service
• Supports LIS Product Owner in Product Development.

• Skill/Competency Cluster: Infrastructure Consulting Knowledge

• In depth Understanding of IT Infrastructure Services and Products (Server, Storage, Network etc.) and their connection to each other
• Basic understanding of Business Planning and Hardware Lifestyle processes
• Ability to analyze and abstract customer demands and match against existing Infrastructure Services.
• Experience in physical configuration of IT Equipment and Network/Cabling Concepts
• Skill/Competency Cluster: IT Room Operations

• Understanding of Data Center and IT Room concepts
• Basic Understanding of Data Center Facility technology (e.g. Electrical, A/C )
• Experience with access management processes and tools
