Sports Direct Malaysia is currently looking for IT Operational Administrator to join our growing team.

Malaysia marks the first direct retail investment in Asia through a joint venture partnership with Malaysian owned MST Golf Group of companies, a well-established golf retailer and service provider in the region. Sports Direct Malaysia currently operates a total of 34 retail stores domestically and manages a proprietary SportsDirect.com e-commerce site for domestic and regional fulfillment. Your responsibilities as the IT Operational Administrator will include but not limited to:

  • Administrative Support: Manage and organize administrative tasks within the IT department, including scheduling meetings, handling correspondence, and maintaining documentation.
  • Procurement and Inventory Management: Coordinate the procurement process for IT equipment, software, and services. Maintain accurate inventory records and manage asset tracking.
  • Budget Management: Assist in budget preparation and monitoring, tracking IT-related expenses, and ensuring cost-effectiveness in purchasing and operations.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee vendor relationships for IT-related services and products.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain documentation, reports, and records related to IT operations, including inventory, expenditure, and project documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams to support project implementation and users to support new technology deployments.
  • Compliance and Policies: Assist in ensuring compliance with IT policies, standards, and regulations. Keep abreast of changes in regulations affecting IT operations.
  • Project Coordination: Support IT projects by coordinating administrative tasks, scheduling meetings, and assisting in project documentation and progress tracking.
  • Training Coordination: Assist in organizing training sessions for employees on IT tools, systems, and best practices.
  • Any other lawful assignments as instructed by superior as and when required.
Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools).
  • Understanding of IT systems and operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management is a plus.
  • Experience in administrative roles, especially within an IT environment, is beneficial.
