The IT Project Manager oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of various IT projects, with a focus on managing initiatives across Malaysia and international locations. Responsible for ensuring projects are completed within scope, on time, and within budget while meeting quality standards and aligning with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage detailed project plans, defining scope, objectives, timelines, resource needs, and budget allocations.
Lead project teams with clear direction, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance to meet project goals.
Coordinate with cross-functional departments to ensure efficient allocation and utilization of resources.
Identify potential risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies to reduce project disruptions.
Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular status updates on milestones, progress, and potential issues.
Monitor project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets, and seek authorization for any required adjustments.
Uphold quality standards by conducting regular reviews and ensuring deliverables meet compliance and expectations.
Manage scope, schedule, and resource changes effectively, communicating their impacts to relevant stakeholders.
Oversee IT projects involving overseas locations, coordinating resources and ensuring alignment with international teams.
Ensure compliance with local laws and cultural considerations for international project execution.
Travel internationally as required to support on-site project coordination and management.
Maintain accurate and organized documentation including project plans, progress reports, meeting minutes, and relevant records.
Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project outcomes, extract key learnings, and recommend improvements.
Perform any other ad hoc tasks or projects assigned by Management.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in project management.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strategic thinker with a proactive approach and strong problem-solving abilities.
Experience managing international projects or working with overseas teams is an added advantage.
