IT Project Manager (ITPM)

IT Project Manager (ITPM) is r

esponsible for managing and delivering IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget. The role works closely with business users, technical teams, and vendors to translate business needs into effective technology solutions. This position supports the organization's strategic objectives by ensuring successful implementation of IT initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and business performance.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. A Master's Degree in Information Technology, Project Management, or Business Administration is an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 5-8 years of experience in IT project management or related roles.

Certifications (Preferred / Advantageous):

Project Management Professional (

PMP

) or

PRINCE2

Certification.

Agile / Scrum Master

Certification (e.g., CSM, PMI-ACP).

ITIL Foundation

Certification is an added advantage.

JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Project Management Tools Proficiency

- Skilled in using tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, Confluence, or equivalent for planning, tracking, and reporting.

Technical Understanding

- Good knowledge of IT systems, SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), infrastructure, and integration concepts to effectively manage technical projects.

Risk and Issue Management

- Strong ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.

Vendor and Contract Management

- Experience in managing external vendors, negotiating deliverables, and ensuring service level compliance.

Change Management

- Capable of managing organizational and system changes with minimal disruption to business operations.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

- Ability to analyze complex project issues and propose effective, timely solutions.

Leadership and Team Coordination

- Demonstrates strong leadership, decision-making, and interpersonal skills to manage cross-functional teams.

Communication and Stakeholder Management

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Financial Awareness

- Understanding of project budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting for effective resource utilization.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM14,000.00 per month

Experience:

IT project management: 3 years (Required) (PMP) or PRINCE2 Certification.: 2 years (Preferred) Agile / Scrum Master Certification (e.g., CSM, PMI-ACP).: 2 years (Preferred) ITIL Foundation Certification : 2 years (Preferred) JIRA, Microsoft Project, Confluence, : 2 years (Preferred) IT systems, SDLC : 2 years (Preferred)
