Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

IT Security Executive

to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting the organization's information systems, networks, and data from security threats, ensuring compliance with security policies, and supporting ongoing cybersecurity initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor, analyse, and respond to security incidents and alerts. Implement and maintain security controls for servers, networks, endpoints, and cloud environments Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk assessments, and remediation activities Manage and support security tools such as antivirus, EDR, firewall, SIEM, email security, and DLP Assist in security policy development, enforcement, and user awareness programs Perform regular security reviews, audits, and compliance checks Support incident response, investigation, and root cause analysis Stay up to date with emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices Collaborate with IT Infrastructure, Application, and Support teams on security-related matters

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in IT Security / Cybersecurity roles Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field Solid understanding of: Network security concepts (firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS) Endpoint security and malware protection Identity and access management (IAM) Basic security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, etc.) Experience with Windows environments Ability to analyse logs, security events, and incidents Good problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and documentation skills

Added Advantage

Relevant certifications such as Microsoft/Cisco certifications, or equivalent Experience with cloud security (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365 Security) Knowledge of penetration testing, SOC operations, or threat intelligence

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
