About the job IT Security ExpertAbout the company:Our client, the largest public bus provider in Johor, was established with the aim of delivering an efficient and sustainable public transport system for the community.Job Responsibilities:

• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfSecurity Assessment: Conduct thorough security assessments of our web applications, WordPress sites, web APIs, blockchain systems, and infrastructure to identify potential vulnerabilities, and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Threat Detection and Mitigation: Develop and implement strategies to proactively detect, respond to, and mitigate security threats and attacks on the blockchain network and AWS Instances.
• Security Guidance: Collaborate with software developers, DevOps engineers and blockchain developers to provide guidance and best practices for secure coding, ensuring security is integrated into the development process from the ground up.
• Security Testing: Perform penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and code reviews to identify security issues and work with developers to remediate them.
• Incident Response: Develop and maintain an incident response plan, including monitoring and responding to security incidents, and coordinating recovery efforts.
• Security Research and Awareness: Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends, and actively research new security technologies and best practices.
• Educate team members on security best practices and ensure adherence to security protocols.
• Compliance: Ensure that our blockchain project complies with relevant security regulations and standards.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Proven experience in system and blockchain security, preferably in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of web application security, and cryptographic principles
• Experience with secure coding practices and reviewing and securing smart contracts.
• Proficiency in security assessment tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with industry security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
