IT Project Manager

Job Summary



We are looking for a highly experienced

IT Project Manager

to lead

large-scale, regional IT projects

across the full

end-to-end project lifecycle

. The role requires strong exposure to

banking, SDLC, vendor management, financial control, and enterprise IT delivery

, working closely with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

Educational & Certification Requirements



Bachelor's Degree in

Business Management, Information Technology

, or equivalent

PMP / PRINCE2 certification

- Preferred

Experience Requirements



10-12 years

of overall Project Management experience Minimum

2 years

in

Banking / Financial Services

3+ years

managing and delivering

large regional projects (> RM 1 million)

5+ years

experience in

Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Strong experience managing

enterprise-scale, complex IT initiatives


Key Responsibilities



1. Project Initiation



Develop

Project Charter

, confirm objectives and high-level scope Identify key stakeholders and establish

Steering Committee & Working Committee

Assist with

technical solution design and business case development

Develop

Statement of Work (SOW)

and participate in

contract, commercial, and pricing negotiations

Initiate purchase requisitions and demand management processes

2. Project Management & Delivery



Define

project approach, milestones, schedule, and work plans

Manage project delivery using

Agile, Scrum, Waterfall

and hybrid SDLC models Define and manage

project iterations and releases

Develop and maintain the

Project Management Plan

, including: Risk Management Issue Management Configuration Management Communication Plans Ensure alignment of all requirements with project objectives and SOW

3. Requirements & Solution Management



Work with vendors, system analysts, and stakeholders to gather: Business requirements Functional & non-functional requirements Ensure key project deliverables (BRD, FSD, SIT, UAT, Closure, etc.) are reviewed and signed off Manage

design and solutioning activities

and review design specifications

4. Control, Governance & Reporting



Track and manage

scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks

Maintain financial controls including

budgeting, forecasting, and expenditure tracking

Monitor vendor and subcontractor deliverables against SOW and contracts Maintain registers for

risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions, and constraints

Produce

weekly performance reports

and

monthly status reports

Ensure compliance with

Project Office policies and governance standards


5. Build, Test & Deploy



Define development/build cycles and manage build schedules Oversee application development, system integration, and infrastructure setup Define and manage

testing strategy

, test plans, and execution Define and manage

deployment strategy and go-live activities


6. Change Management & Post-Production Support



Support

Change Management & Training (CMT)

activities Plan and manage

post-go-live support

Facilitate formal

project closure

Conduct

benefit realization analysis

and present findings to management

Technical & Functional Skills



End-to-End

IT Project Management Lifecycle

IT Infrastructure, Software Development, Access Management & IT Security Project Management tools (e.g.

Microsoft Project

) IT Demand Management & Cost Benefit Analysis SDLC models:

Agile, Scrum, Waterfall

Familiarity with: SQL Databases Linux / RedHat OS Tomcat / IIS Middleware (added advantage)*
ServiceNow, HP ALM, Microsoft 365 (added advantage)*
