Solutions Consultant (AEC-Workplace) The Solution Consultant (SC) is an individual that works across multiple customer projects with the goal of improving the overall real estate and facilities management (REFM) and Corporate Real Estate (CRE) operat Solutions Consultant (AEC-Workplace) The Solution Consultant (SC) is an individual that works across multiple customer projects with the goal of improving the overall real estate and facilities management (REFM) and Corporate Real Estate (CRE) operations through technology and process improvement. The SC will be client-facing and responsible for delivery and support of BIM scope, implementation of Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) projects, helping to troubleshoot system and data issues while looking for areas of process improvement. The SC will be expected to bring innovation and best practices to the customer to help drive improvement and gain efficiencies. This role will collaborate effectively with all levels of leadership within the client REFM organization as a means of ensuring that their strategic initiatives are met. There is a requirement in the role for process ownership relating to Building Information Modeling (BIM). This includes Document and Model Management as well as Data Standards and Content Management . Collaboration is therefore a demanded trait for this role, focusing on people skills in the form of communication, collaboration, and proactive approaches to problem-solving. This role will have a focus on the building construction and operational lifecycle, which will be done using Revit and other industry-focused technologies. The ideal candidate will also verify and maintain the information, improve document control practices, maintain information systems, and meet legal records control requirements. This role needs to be both outward-facing toward the customer and inward-facing toward JLLT, fully understanding all relevant customer requirements, processes, procedures, limitations, and constraints. The expectation is that the successful candidate will sit on-site with a JLL client 50-100% of the time as the projects require. When not on the client's site, there will be the opportunity to work from home. General Responsibilities: Work with JLL and the owner's Project Team to align the model development framework with the overall strategy of the business. Ensure consistency across the organization and sites for Data Standards, BIM/VDC processes, and client guidelines. Lead continuous process improvement projects. Help deploy operating procedures to drive quality, efficiency, and consistency of work performed by teams in conjunction with guidelines and standards. Assist in managing and updating the client BIM/VDC guidelines and standards. Document and model controller across the client's portfolio relating to BIM and CRE initiatives. Checking documents and models for accuracy and compliance. Distributing project and portfolio-related documents or models to the client's team or consultants. Manage the flow of documentation and models within the organization. Act as the liaison between the customer REPM stakeholders and the JLL project execution team Provide guidance for the customer through decision-making processes regarding cost/benefit, timelines, and operational and change management issues Participate in all planning sessions often acting on behalf of the customer Assist in creating documentation for: 'as-is' and 'to-be' processes, process, and operating procedures Data gathering templates and management plans Assisting in training users on IWMS functionality and processes Troubleshoot data issues in the IWMS application Specific Project Duties: Act as the lead when required for designated BIM/VDC projects. Manage BIM/VDC workflows and content efforts throughout phases of design and construction. Perform sub-contractor model verifications based on defined parameters Publish BIM models into enterprise systems like IWMS software Help manage software products including but not limited to incorporating new versions, releases, or customized products. Supporting preparation and validation of IWMS solution design Setting up new BIM projects for collaborative workflows with the client's lead design consultants. Stay informed on best practices and uses of Revit or VDC-related tools. Support Revit model templates, project set-up, and project model amendments/minor drafting changes. Modeling coordination oversite of architectural, structural, and MEP systems for trade coordination and conflict resolution. Participate in meetings with project teams and easily communicate issues, changes, and resolutions. Document discrepancies and conflicts within workflow and metadata being developed per owner standards. Modify and export model deliverables as needed by the project team to help facilitate design and construction exchange efforts. Provide on-site support to project teams using BIM/VDC Implementation Requirements and Execution. REQUIREMENTS A minimum of five years experience in consulting in the commercial/corporate real estate services industry, preferably with a broad range of knowledge in technology and operational functions. Or a minimum of eight years experience working in the commercial/corporate real estate industry, with hands-on knowledge in technology and operations in a minimum of two areas (i.e. operations, space management, lease administration). Experience in leading group presentations including end-user training classes Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Visio, and PowerPoint. PREFERRED Conceptual knowledge of Relational Databases and experience with data management PMP Certification Conceptual knowledge of AutoCAD SQL Implementation and deployment experience with ARCHIBUS, IBM TRIRIGA, IBM Maximo, MRI, Yardi, Manhattan, Planon, or other similar Workplace or IWMS enterprise applications. SKILLS Creative and independent thinker Excellent written and oral presentation skills Ability to work without extensive supervision or direction Ability to balance multiple projects under tight deadlines Strong communicator who is comfortable working with senior/executive management TRAVEL Must be able to travel 5%. Travel and volume of travel may be dependent on client load and vary in intensity by month.
