Requirements
Formal Education & Certification
  • A recent graduate with a College diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals) are a strong advantage.
Knowledge & Experience
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Foundational technical knowledge from academic studies in:
  • Networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching).
  • Server operating systems (Windows Server and/or Linux).
  • Microsoft Windows client platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting (gained through academics, internships, or personal projects) is highly desirable.
  • A keen interest in pursuing a career in network and systems administration.

Work Conditions
  • On-call availability on a rotational basis.
  • Able to work after office hours for scheduled maintenance and critical issue resolution.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
  • Assist in preparing and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and monitoring system and network performance.
  • Accurately document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal, particularly for server and network equipment.
  • Aid in the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans and respond to crises in accordance with established plans.
Acquisition & Deployment
  • Conduct research on network and server products in support of procurement and development efforts.
  • Assist in evaluating and recommending hardware and software products for purchase under guidance.
Operational Management
  • Work with end-users to identify and deliver required service levels for network and system access.
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot:
  • Network hardware: Switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Server infrastructure: Physical and virtual servers, operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux), and associated services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File/Print services).
  • End-user workstations and peripheral equipment.
  • Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex hardware and system problems, recommending and implementing corrective solutions.
  • Receive and respond to incoming calls and/or tickets regarding hardware and system problems.
  • Monitor and test the performance of network and servers, providing performance statistics and reports.
  • Collaborate with third-party support and IT equipment vendors for advanced issues.
  • Work closely with the senior Technical Team to implement new projects and solutions.
