Job Description

An IT Technical Engineer plays a crucial role in the maintenance, support, and optimization of an organization\'s information technology infrastructure. This role involves a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and effective communication to ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems, applications, and services. IT Technical Engineers work closely with other IT teams, departments, and end-users to provide technical assistance, resolve issues, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the organization\'s technology ecosystem. Responsibilities: System Maintenance and Troubleshooting:Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the organization\'s hardware and software systems to ensure their optimal performance.
Identify and resolve technical issues related to servers, networks, workstations, and other IT equipment.
Apply patches, updates, and configuration changes to maintain security and functionality. User Support:Provide technical support to end-users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network-related problems.
Assist users with software installations, upgrades, and usage guidance.
Respond to help desk tickets and service requests in a timely manner. Network Management:Manage and configure network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Ensure network connectivity and troubleshoot network-related issues.
Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization\'s network infrastructure. Server Administration:Administer and maintain server systems, both physical and virtual, to ensure reliability and optimal performance.
Configure user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Monitor server resource usage and implement scaling strategies as needed. Infrastructure Planning and Deployment:Participate in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of new IT infrastructure projects.
Collaborate with other IT teams to assess technology needs and propose solutions that align with the organization\'s goals. Data Backup and Recovery:Implement and manage data backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
Develop and execute disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime in case of system failures. Security Management:Monitor and address security vulnerabilities and risks within the IT environment.
Implement security best practices, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging threats to maintain a secure IT environment. Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
Generate regular reports on system performance, incidents, and resolutions. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: RM2,500.00 - RM6,500.00 per month Benefits:
