Job Description

\xe2\x80\xa2 Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks \xe2\x80\xa2 Talk staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues \xe2\x80\xa2 Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults \xe2\x80\xa2 Replace parts as required \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports \xe2\x80\xa2 Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system \xe2\x80\xa2 Support the roll-out of new applications \xe2\x80\xa2 Set up new users\' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues \xe2\x80\xa2 Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs \xe2\x80\xa2 Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate) \xe2\x80\xa2 Prioritize and manage many open cases at one time \xe2\x80\xa2 Rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as software developers \xe2\x80\xa2 Test and evaluate new technology \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
