Job Description

Must-haves:

English must be fluent; native level is a plus. Japanese must be fluent; native level is a plus. (JLPT N1 or equivalent level.) The candidate must possess fluency in both written and spoken Japanese.

Professional

experience as an interpreter and translator is required

(any field is acceptable, with preference given to animation/games/VFX etc.). Qualified candidates will have experience doing consecutive interpreting (while experience doing simultaneous interpreting is also sought). We can provide training for simultaneous interpreting. Candidates must have a suitable work-from-home environment.

Also great to have:

Mandarin proficiency. Experience with simultaneous interpretation. Experience at animation game//VFX studios. Personal interest in Japanese anime or other animation, games, or VFX.
