The Japanese Insurance Executive is responsible for handling insurance related matters involving Japanese patients. This includes verifying and processing claims, liaising with insurance companies (particularly Japanese-based insurers), and ensuring smooth communication between patients, clinics, and insurance providers. The role also requires bilingual proficiency to handle documents and communication in both Japanese and English (or Malay).
1. Insurance Coordination
- Assist Japanese patients in understanding and utilizing their insurance benefits.
- Liaise with Japanese and local insurance companies for claims processing and approvals.
- Ensure timely submission of insurance claims and follow ups for reimbursement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of insurance documents and claims.
2. Patient Support (Japanese Clients)
- Provide exceptional service and support to Japanese patients regarding insurance matters.
- Act as a translator/interpreter during medical visits, if necessary.
- Explain insurance policies, coverage limits, and procedures in Japanese.
3. Administrative Support
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation to insurance companies.
- Coordinate with receptionists, doctors, and admin team to gather supporting documents (e.g., medical reports, invoices).
- Track outstanding claims and follow up on delayed payments or disputes.
4. Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare monthly reports on insurance claims and payment statues.
- Ensure compliance with internal SOPs and insurance providers' policies.
- Stay up to date with changes in insurance policies (especially from Japanese insurers)
5. Other Duties
- Undertake any ad hoc tasks as assigned by management to support the smooth functioning of the office.
- Working closely with Japanese expats, patients, and Japanese companies.
- May be required to attend meetings with insurers or embassies.
Working hour: 9 am - 6 pm (flexible hour)
