We are looking for a 2nd level Technical Support Engineer to join the Japanese Support team , which provide products support to Japanese speaking corporate customers and partners. You will be communicating with multiple other level customer support and product expert in order to resolve any issues reported by customers. And as a representative of customers voice, you get the opportunity to influence in the improvement and development of our award-winning products.

You would be working according to Japanese business hours and follow the Japanese calendar. Your working hours would be on day shift work. Japanese operation hours is from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm (8 hours/day).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support for WithSecure products to corporate customers and partners via different support channels (phone, e-mail, chat and online community). Mostly, e-mail.
  • Act as a professional point of reference for these programs: Workstation and Server Security, Gateway Solution, and Spam Appliance.
  • Perform detailed log analysis and deep troubleshooting in order to find and resolve the root cause of any issues reported by our customers.
  • Work together with world-class experts in WithSecure Labs to combat malicious programs (malware).
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of how security applications work in a network.
  • Create and update technical documentations and knowledge base articles.
What are we looking for?
  • Native/semi native level communication skills in Japanese, both verbal and written (JLPT 2 certification or higher is added advantage).
  • Experience working or studying in Japan, and understand the Japanese working culture.
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in a technical support (or similar) role.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Good knowledge of Windows Server Family.
  • Good knowledge of Linux platform (RHEL, CENTOS).
  • Good knowledge of troubleshooting skills (reading logs).
